2022 Flyer

 3rd Annual Riverside Smoke Off

Riverside Park

March 25th & 26th

Fire up your pits and grills for some friendly competition at the 3rd annual Riverside Smoke Off!  Staying true to the native cuisine of Texas participants will prepare a wide range of BBQ staples – brisket, pork ribs, chicken, sauce, beans, chef’s choice and Dutch Oven – Sweet.  Kids ages 5 – 17 years old are not left out in this competition – they can participate in ribeye steak and pork ribs. Riverside Smoke Off is where you can have a big time BBQing and hanging out, a little enjoyable rivalry between teams while having the chance to kick back, relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Cookers can enter 8 categories:  Brisket, Chicken, Pork Ribs, chef’s choice, Sauce, Beans, Dutch Oven Sweet and Best Decorated Site.  Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories except best decorated.

The kids are not left out – we added a Kid’s Cook Ribeye Steak (ages 5 – 8 years and 9 – 12 years) and ribs category (13 – 17 years).  First place in each age category will win a prize and trophy.  Entry fee is $20.

Cash prizes will be given to 1st place brisket ($1,000); 1st place chicken and ribs ($500 each); Chef’s Choice, Sauce, Beans and Dutch Oven Sweet - 1st place ($100).

You have two options for camping and Brisket entry (must enter brisket category): Colorado Cove (water, sewer & electric) - $200 (price includes camp site, 1 RV/Camper and 1 car) or the Wilderness Area (water & electric) - $150 (price includes camp site, 1 RV/Camper and 1 car); Chicken, Beans, Pork Ribs, Sauce, Chef’s Choice and Sweet Dutch Oven are $25 each category.  If you want to enter an additional brisket the entry fee is $100.  You can enter each category multiple times.  You can enter the Best Decorated Site at no charge.   The theme is Mardi Gras. Additional camp sites can be reserved.
