Bay City Municipal Court hours of operation:
Monday-Thursday beginning at 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Friday-7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Court Function & Jurisdiction
The Municipal Court of the City shall be established and maintained for the trial of misdemeanor offenses, and shall have all powers prescribed by the State Law.
The Municipal Court handles City Code violations in addition to traffic offenses and other Class "C" misdemeanors. The Municipal Judges hold magistrate hearings every day of the week in order to inform people arrested of their rights and to set bonds. The Court Clerk and staff process and maintain all records of the Court.
